The HLC-1e is used as a high temperature shutdown by plugging your lights or light controller into the outlet and setting the maximum temperature that your growing environment can sustain. If this setting is exceeded, your lights will turn off and an indicator light will flash to let you know that your temperature set point was exceeded. This is cheap insurance for your garden. Comes with a 12' remote temperature sensor.
